About

I am Jennifer St. Clair.  I work as the marketing director for the Sanford Area Chamber of Commerce in Sanford, North Carolina.  A born-and-bred Cajun girl from Lafayette, Louisiana, I’ve adjusted quite well to life in this small city in the “North.”  I know, it’s considered the South, but when you’re from as far South as I am, this feels like Canada.

Anyway, I’m married to Billy Liggett.  img_0325.jpgHe is the editor of The Sanford Herald.  A great paper and we are so thankful that they came looking for him in 2007.  We met and started dating when I was in my first semester of college–TEN YEARS AGO.  We married in 2003 in the gorgeous U.S. Virgin Islands.  Billy is supremely talented, smart, funny and caring.  And he puts up with me which says a lot!

We have two dogs.

Honey (who you’ll find out goes by many other names) is a 6-year-old Jack Russell Terrier and we absolutely adore her.  She’s truly a wonderful dog and has been called “The Best Dog Ever” by people other than Billy and me!  Before you say it, let me set the record straight.  Jacks are NOT hyper.  Jacks are intelligentimg_1052.jpg, energetic dogs that require lots of attention, stimulation and exercise.  Anyone who has met Honey has marveled.  She can hike with us for hours outside and be just as content lazing around the house and begging for pets.

Miles is the newest addition to our family.  img_1616.jpgWe’ve had him just shy of a month and boy has he turned our world upside down!  The blog is mostly about our adventures with him, so I won’t put much here.  He’s almost 4 months and is a Bernese Mountain Dog mixed with Labrador Retriever.  He’s going to be huge.  One day, I’ll have to change that to “he is huge” I guess!  He’s a handful and as my tag line says…What Were We Thinking?

  • Jenny,

Thanks for sharing your world of Miles with us. We look forward to the many stories coming out of Sanford about the antics of Miles and the human side of Miss Buns.

Your analysis of Billy is right on target, we are proud to have him as our son in law.

  • Hello from another Jennifer St. Clair! We share a great name. :)

  • Hello! I’ve been enjoying your “Life with Miles” and wanted to share my recent blog post about adopting our young shepherd mix, Fasby.

  • Hello Jennifer,

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves. Piedmont Pets is reaching out to ask for your help in spreading the word about our Photo Contest. We are hoping to have many hits and, most importantly, receive lots of new pics for the Piedmont Pets Photo Contest. We’ve changed the judging format and now let the public choose the winner! What we would like now is for all your bloggers (and your friends’ bloggers) who have little ones in the house (and, yes, we mean cats and dogs) not only to send a photo but also cast their vote.

So, we hope that you’ll take the time to look at our site, and choose one of your best shots from the pictures you’ve already taken and send it in. It’ll be fun!

    Your friendly pet-pics team,

    Dyan, John & Phil
